Where have we been?

hmmm... what to blog about?
Lately it has been crazy here and if I have time to go on the computer, its just long enough to check hotmail, pinterest and maybe facebook. And that is IF I had time, as said above.

I don't feel like I am as busy as before but I am. I think I was just more productive before. Now I am just more busy helping the husband around, cleaning up after two boys, taking care of two dogs (which the husband did most of before) and did I mention cleaning. Man guys are messy!

I haven't even taken a lot of pictures lately of Mason. He is so cute, its hard to keep the camera away. The post previous to this one I did with my new Samsung Tablet. That is why the pictures are a wee bit sideways. oops. Let me fix that.

Here are 3 sets of curtains. (white/yellow ones are for the future office/playroom, I also raised the rob to the ceiling. They are from Rona) [flowery country ones are in our master bedroom. I got the fabric for cheap a year ago at Fabricland and hemmed them myself and also raised the rod to give more height to the room] {white/grey is in Masons room. This was a twin duvet cover from Ikea, don't ask me how I thought of making curtains from it...just happened. I do recommend it though as it can be cheaper and it was easy}

Our Basement is coming along thanks to R&P [you know who you are] we love your work and your dedication to us. We feel like we owe you more than hot meals each time. So before talking it over with Brandon, I have decided that you can call him for any help you need... just once his leg is better. He would be happy too. hehe

On a quick side note, I made this the other day. It sits on the shelf in Mason's room. The quote was too cute to pass up. And I now tell my dust to go to sleep because I am rocking my baby.

Things crossed off

There are a few small items on my to do list that are crossed off and it feels good to say that. Also those areas of our home look better... Brandon even agrees (he didn't notice but once I told him, he thought it was great)
I raised our bedroom curtains to give the effect of a larger window and I love it.
I found curtains for the office/playroom. I also raised that curtain rod. *see below, not best picture quality...sorry)
Found a simple white curtain panel for our bedroom closet ( it does not have a door) and hemmed it with no sew tape.
We have been very busy here at the Kampen household and I don't have much done or to share.
With a baby and a husband on crutches, there is always something to clean up.
Here is to hoping for more me time...

Lists

I make lists for everything. absolutely everything. Most of the time they get thrown out, so until I really thought of it I wasted a lot of paper. I determined that I was making lists to get it all out in front of me and out of my brain. My brain is always going and it drives me crazy. My to-do list is always the one that gets me and I have written it out, what feels like more then 100 times. It gets me frustrated because its so long but who doesn't have a long to-do list? I am one to lay awake for an hour or more at night thinking about everything I have to do. Since I do this a lot of my lists get made before bed and it helps. If you lay awake just like me, try this, it might help.

The reason why I am babbling about this is I made my list last night and I am going to put it on here and look at it anytime I can't stop thinking of it. That way I don't waste paper or have lists all over the house and in every notebook I own. 

So here it is:

Hang Bedroom mirror & engagement picture

paint dog bench area in bedroom

find fabric and hem for bedroom closet (rod inset)

cut 2 hanging rods in closet
Repurpose bedroom dresser (7 knobs)

sell or give away chair and find one that suits us better :)
