Let it Snow

It may not be snowing outside but it is in my new snow globes.
I found fabric snowflakes for $1. They wont dissolve like the sand was and they are light weight so they float longer. win, win.

Colour your world

I LOVE this! I finished it much quicker than a week, so this week, I have a break. It took me about 20min.

I got my glue gun hot and glued down the crayons. I sorted them by colour along the top of the canvas.
Then Brandon got his heat gun for me to use too melt the crayons.

And this is how it went....

A little Foggy up ahead

I have some pictures of the snow globes but they aren't complete...
I had two extra jars and gorilla glue. I bought two ornaments for inside the jars and some sand. The ornaments and sand were $3 all together.

I was looking for something to use as the snow and found a bunch of stuff, so process of elimination, I went for the sand. Not sure if it was my best idea though. It has made the water white... As I write this it is clearing up, so I will let it sit and if it fixes itself I will see if it stays that way or goes white every time its shaken...
I can always go back to the store and buy these little bead snowflakes that I saw.
I saw somewhere to put gelatin in the water, its for keeping the snow from falling to fast.

 UPDATE
The water did clear up, however when you shake it, it goes foggy again. So I am going to go back to the dollar store and get the snow flakes I originally had in my hand. stay tuned.

Blanket or sleeping bag?

Its more like a sleeping bag haha. It was my first blanket ok? AND I did it by hand.

It has a great place on our rocking chair. I sit in that every night to feed Mason. It looks great there but next time I make a blanket, I will use a sewing machine.

Snow globe post is coming soon.

Pineapple UpSide Down cake

I had a can of pineapple slices that werent being used, so I looked up what to make. I also had vanilla cake mix.

Here's how it went...

It was yummy!

Crayons

It was only a matter of time before I made this. I have been saving a canvas for this since I saw it in 'Whatever' blog by Meg Duerksen. I have been following her for about a year, she has great crafts and an amazing old house.

Here is the link to my next challenge:

Charlie Banana

I am going to post these on Kijiji but I thought I would give my readers the first chance. I have 12 Cloth Diapers for sale, along with 24 inserts.
They are great diapers and have only been used maybe twice. I didn't use them much because we had friends and family that bought us disposables, so I wanted to use those up first. Once I started using cloth, I realized that I had too many. I have another set of G diapers that I am keeping. I don't need two sets, so these 12 are for sale to a good home.

They are Charlie Banana. One size fits all. 6 pastel & 6 bright. 12 large inserts and 12 medium inserts.
It is worth over $200. I am selling it all for $150.

If you have questions about the diapers visit Charlie Banana website by clicking the title of this post.

January Challenge

This is our current laundry room. I made the chandelier for this room and it was my starting point for inspiration. In January, rather than weekly challenges, for the entire month, I will be working on the laundry room. Decorating it to be more my style and maybe I will enjoy going in there.
I have an idea for every area except the big open area to the left of the washer. look at the last picture above. we did plan on putting the laundry sink there but there isn't a lot of space to get into that area. I was thinking of maybe extending the counter all the way over and making shelves for laundry baskets or towels....

Here are some ideas I have for the room.

Can't wait until January!
