I cant be nesting yet, right? I am 26 weeks pregnant. Its going to be a rough 14weeks for Brandon if I am like this the rest of my pregnancy.
I have the feeling of everything needs to get done now, all at once.
I want to
Clean
Cook
Bake
Decorate
Paint
Yardwork
... and the list goes on.
Its hard for me because I am used to lifting REALLY heavy things (ex: bathtub) on my own and painting and doing alot of physical work. Now I go up four stairs and am out of breath. come on baby, work with me here!
I am half done alot of things and want them all done before baby comes. possible? I hope so.
our downstiars bathroom is half done. I took it from baby pink toilet to construction zone to cottage cozy. *pictures to come*
I am working on the babyroom and this is something I am waiting for the pieces to fall into place because I want it to be perfect and cozy for the late night feedings.
We have carpet guys coming tomorrow to do a final measure of our bedrooms & family room. bring on the berber! but in order to get carpet installed, things must be moved. can I lift things like a king bed and a large antique dresser? No. it will be interesting and Brandon will need a sweat rag.
Once the carpet is in, that means our floors are complete (carpet upstairs and downstairs; hardwood on main floor) Then our baseboards have to be isntalled! I cant wait. we are doing Tall farmhouse type board. Brandon is my labour and I am asked about 1million times if the cut/measurement is right.
*it will look like this...
We purchased Emerald Cedars for between our driveway and our neighbours. We (I mean Brandon) removed the stumps from the old hedge and our neighbour said she will plant the new cedar trees. DEAL I dont have to do anything. Its halfway planted, she is waiting for the rain to subside to plant the last 5.
Along with that outdoor work being done, we want to get our front steps back up to par and looking friendly. Its a concrete slab with 4 different stair measurements. Whoever put the stairs in, did not use a measure tool at all. We had to remove the railing to get the large fridge inside. Its fun going up icy stairs with no railing... HA.
anyways back on point. Brandons idea was to face the area with flagstone and get a metal railing installed. We went and priced out the railings at home depot. Took while to figure out end post, split post, stair post, connectors, pickets, railings etc. But we figured it out. then looked at the stuff we would need and priced it out. $500+.. Yah right! not from this cheapo. you aint getting that much money from me. We priced out a HUGE front porch on lowes deckplanner a year ago and it was $700 for everything and that was for a huge porch, double the size we have now.
So we have decided we will build a deck (we as in Brandon and guy friends) we will make it close to the size we have now which will cut that $700 in half.
So for the price of metal railings we can get a whole new front porch.
I will tell you when it happens and how it went.
As I am writing this I have the urge to go grocery shopping.. maybe because I want to make brownie oreos lol
YUM!

I think someone stole Ryder for a day and then made him a model
he needs a haircut...
NEW BED
BEST PURCHASE: KING SIZE
FLOWERS FROM BRANDON :)
CURTAINS. got fabric from fabricland to make these. curtains keep the dogs from seeing outside. seeing people/dogs outside equals barking... we dont like that in this house. solution=curtains.

Avacado
Can you believe I am already finishing up my 4th month. Time flies. Baby is the size of a Avocado this week. does that make you think of guacamole? I did.
I did most of the things on my weekend list. We bought a car seat and know what stroller we want, we are just trying to find the cheapest way possible to get it. Babiesrus is the most expensive so far.
I did clean up the house but had no motivation to do Laundry. It hard to be motivation to go in my dungeon like laundry room. I didn't go to Fabric land, one day it will happen. If I had all the money in the world, I would just order these curtains from Pottery Barn. :)

We are going to go ahead and get the carpet done in our house. Cant turn away a good deal. Ryder is not going to get training, we are just going to be more persistent in our training methods and hope it works. The odd day he has an accident, hopefully its a puppy thing and it stops when he is two years old. We are told by two that his puppy habits will disappear and we see it slowly but hes just over 1yrs old, we still have some waiting time on him. I have planned to buy Oxi clean the same day we order the carpet for our house. Never used it but it looks good. Anyone against it?

TO DO
My to do list this weekend is quite long but I have faith in it.
1. Go out with the hubby and look at strollers, so far we are eye balling the Baby Jogger City Select. They thought of everything and its so functional.
2. Go to Fabricland - pick out fabric for curtains in the livingroom and possibly our room and the babys room... possibly. We will see how their selection is.
3. Pick up Tripp. He has had an extended vacation away from Ryder. He has been with Andy and my mom. I dont think he will actually want to come home with us. maybe they will have to adopt him. This trip to get him will include dinner with them and my sister as well. which will be nice. the most time with her now is good before she leaves for Africa (i rolled the R when I said that out loud)
4. Head over to Factory Flooring and see if they still have their sweet deal on carpet and possibly order carpet for upstairs and downstairs... this is exciting. I have wants carpet since we moved in.
5. Look up training for ryder because if we get carpet, I might kill him if he piddles on it :) not literally but I will want to hurt him because he should get it by now that accidents are no good. oh will the puppy stage ever end with him?
6. Clean and do laundry somewhere in between all of that.
Since its friday I am going to dream a little that this weekend I am going to go for a walk with the hubby and our dogs and come across this house for sale... in our budget... and it looks like this.
A girl can dream :D oh so lovely

Back up...
And running. Our computer was fixed by the one and only. My mom. :)
Since I have been on here, so much has happened that I don't think I can write about all of it but I will try.
We did announce a few weeks back that we are expecting. Baby is due to arrive Aug27th, Opa says 10days earlier(his birthday) I think by that time I will be fine with early. So far I have been sick as a dog (I have never understood that saying because our dogs are never sick??) Here is my lemon at 12weeks.
We are both very excited and being this is our first we also have days where we are nervous.. I shouldn't say "we", he seems fine. I am nervous, about a lot of things but the feeling doesn't last long and is replaced by happiness. We are not going to figure out the sex of the baby. It seems that's every ones first question when they find out your pregnant but we don't know and don't want to know... for many reasons. I keep having girl dreams and Brandon keeps referring to "it" as a boy... so we have no idea.
To some other exciting news.. our floors are done on our main floor. Makes a major difference and I love them. However notice in the picture.. no baseboard. I was thinking two options.. keep it the same throughout the house or change the whole house to big farmhouse style... what do you think?
We went on a 8day cruise last week to the Caribbean. It was beautiful & hot. A lot to see and the water at each stop was as blue as the sky.
One last thing before I leave.. we bought a stroller off Kijiji a few weeks back. I want a stroller that can make it in snow or on trails, So I want a heavy duty, big wheeled stroller. So I found one that i always wanted. for half the price of retail. Here it is.
Nice, right? Well maybe its the ragging hormones or the indecisive girl in me. I sold it. Ha yes I sold it. call me weird but I have no storage in my house for it. It is rather large and with no garage, a full shed and a small foyer, it's not happening for me. Don't get me wrong, I love it. the wheels are heavy duty, its got shocks like you wouldn't believe but I need something a tad smaller. So we are on the search for a heavy duty, big wheeled...compact stroller. I will let you know if it exists!
bye for now.

Not thinking
You know who isn't thinking? The grocery stores.
Brandon and I went to the store last night on our way home from the Christmas concert at church, which went well! We thought since we are there picking up little things we will pick up the food needed for our Saturday Christmas Dinner. Corn, Potatoes, Stuffing... that was easy. then came the Turkey. I have never purchased a turkey or cooked one. I want one that will feed everyone, is prestuffed-, easy to cook, maybe seasoned? Well we found one by Lily dale (whenever I say lily dale, I always have to say it like the guy on tv) The question is the price per lb? Well they say $0.89 per lb but the turkey's are weighed in kg not lbs.. does that make sense? not to me. We picked them up and guessed. We calculated it on the Internet when we got home, we bought a 16 lb turkey for 7 people. You think that's enough? ha I do. Brandon thought it was going to be too small according to the kg weight.
We are crazy busy this week with: Christmas concert (done), company Christmas dinner, shopping, family christmas', preparing food for my family Christmas Saturday, church... All in one week? you ask. Yes in the next 5 days we are doing all that.
Bran & I decided not to do gifts this year, we are just going to do stockings. Any small gift ideas you think he will like? He is hard to buy for because all he wants is nothing or things that cost a fortune.
Anyways I sound like blah blah blah at this point...
Bye!

I always want to squeeze somewhere between the craziness, time to watch "Miracle on 34th street" Its my favorite Christmas movie. Grandma and I would watch it every year while we would decorate the tree.
Anyways I sound like blah blah blah at this point...

BBBbbbbbrrrrrrr!
This is at 4am, Ryder woke me up to go outside. This was our first snow fall and there is a lot of it!
I was sitting on the couch last night pondering on what to write to whomever is listening. I couldnt think of anything. I started writing about how on the weekend we did alot around the house. Its the same old stuff though, I think you are bored of it. We were painting because the painting never ends.
While doing a million things at once on Saturday I finally voiced my concern on a bulkhead in our kitchen. When we renovated the kitchen I didn't want cabinets on that side because we have two huge windows that I didn't want to close in. Well the bulkhead was left there where the old cupboards were and it didn't look right.
Someone (Brandon) didn't notice it and didn't think it looked bad. I reassured him it looks horrible with the new layout and it will make a huge difference in the end. Being the person he is, he couldn't imagine the outcome but he believed in my vision and started knocking it down. He got the right side down and onto the left... EW gross I ran out of the kitchen and Brandon said "I don't want to do this anymore, I'm scared" haha there was a nest of many things, mainly 50-100 eaten pine cones. If you know what animal likes their home made of pine cones, please don't tell us, we don't want to know what was up there. We both assume this was before the roof was done because animals could get in before. *shivers*
This story is long but look at the transformation!
Did you notice I took the curtains off the window?
Tonight we painted the family room -much better then the pink :)
While the first coat was drying on that, we made a long shelf to display pictures on. It will be hung in the family room when its all back in order after painting. Our $6 home-made shelf beats a $100 shelf any day :)
We also had a surprise party for Paul on Friday night...
He had no idea. Good job Kry!
Presents are slowing accumulating under our tree :)
